Refund Policy

Last updated: 10 July 2026

1. Summary

We want you to feel good about what you pay for. This page explains exactly when refunds apply. Payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record — Paddle issues approved refunds back to your original payment method.

2. Grind Premium (subscription)

  • You can cancel any time from your account. Access continues until the end of the billing period you already paid for.
  • We do not issue pro-rated refunds for the unused portion of a billing period.
  • If you were charged for a renewal you didn't intend (e.g. you cancelled but the renewal still went through), email us within 14 days and we'll refund the renewal in full.
  • If Grind is unavailable for an extended period due to our fault, we may issue a partial refund or service credit at our discretion.

3. Grind Packs (one-off credit purchases)

  • Full refund within 14 days if you have not used any credits from the pack.
  • No refund once you've used any credits from the pack — credits are consumed the moment a Grind is submitted, so a pack that has been partially used cannot be reversed.
  • Credits do not expire and are not transferable between accounts.

4. Duplicate or fraudulent charges

If you see a charge you don't recognise, contact us first — most cases turn out to be a household member or a saved card on another device. If the charge is genuinely fraudulent, we'll refund it in full and work with Paddle to investigate.

5. How to request a refund

Email support@grind.observer from the email address on your Grind account. Include:

  • The Paddle order/receipt number (top of the receipt email).
  • Whether it's a subscription renewal or a Grind Pack.
  • A one-line reason — this helps us improve.

We reply within 2 business days. Approved refunds are issued by Paddle within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.

6. Statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits any refund or cancellation right you have under mandatory consumer law in your country (for example, the EU 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services purchased without prior use). This policy sits on top of those rights, not instead of them.
